This week's question:
WHAT DO YOU DO WHEN YOU FEEL LIKE GIVING UP?
Elijah, one of the greatest prophets in the Bible asked God to end his life. The Psalms
are filled with the cries of people wanting to quit life. Even Jesus begged His disciples
to pray with Him in Gethsemane, and cried, "My God, my God, why have you forsaken
me?" Discouragement, despondency, and even depression are part of the fallen
nature of man - and these are common to all of us! When you feel like giving up, do
the following:
1. Take it to Jesus! Tell Him how you feel. He knows, but laying it on His shoulders
will really help!
2. Take yourself to church! The last thing you need - even though you want it - is
seclusion. Get around people worshiping God!
3. Tell your pastor. Make an appointment with your minister. Tell them what is going
on. Let them give you a little prayer and direction! Then - do what they tell you.
Jesus loves you so much the Bible tells us He died for you - and even numbers the
hairs of your head! That tells me He cares about every detail - especially the major
ones!
Questions - everyone has them! Perhaps you would like to ask a question about:
- God
- The Bible
- A current event
- A crisis in your life
- Our church
The Bible tells us to be ready with an answer to everyone who asks. Jesus was.
He even answered questions meant to trick Him.
The Apostle Paul said God doesn't want us ignorant (not knowing) about important issues.
God is interested in everything you are interested it!
His Word, the Bible, has all the answers! Just ask by clicking on:
